Since his debut v Arsenal I cant recall hearing of ANY positive performances at any of the clubs he has been at.
Even with our u23's
Its £3m in the kitty and freed up £1m a year in wages.
Have said before the coaches of the young boys at West Ham have the perfect examples in Rice & Oxford to teach them what it takes to succeed …. ability isn't enough and that the hard work starts once you are at a club. You've done nothing yet

Used to work on Sloane Street and I’m sure I saw Oxford and probably his Mum coming out of one of the posh boutiques in 2016. He would have been 17, no wonder his motivation to work hard declined, he had it made.

I doubt we'll have a good sell-on clause in the contract. It's not really the West Ham way to get that sort of thing right.
Not that I think it will make much difference in the end, given he's never really done anything for us, or any of the clubs he's been on loan at.
Or have I missed something?

You can nick a decent player from a foreign league, we’ve done it this season with a few.
But players rarely go the other way, without the attention of the big boys, unless they are not really that good in the first place. Step forward Reece Oxford.

Had a lot of hope for him but it seems he thought he had made it and stopped trying to become the player he could of been. I predict he'll end up way down the leagues before long still acting like he is something special.
The board would have been berated had they not given him a contract to stay given his potential but it seems it'sbeen wasted on the wrong player.
